“The Three Bears or a Bed and Breakfast in the Woods"
Goldilocks is walking the Appalachian Trail; she is tired and hungry and sees a little house in the woods. She thinks it’s a “Bed and Breakfast" and goes inside.
Later Baby bear gets blamed for eating all the porridge, breaking his chair and jumping on the furniture. When the Bear family discover Goldilocks she jumps out of the window and is followed by Baby Bear  who asks her name. She tells him and runs away. Baby Bear then tells his mother that her name is Goldilocks and that she is pretty. His mother cautions, "You are in enough trouble as it is, don't get mixed up with girls."
After a performance I heard a little boy say to his mother, “Why did they blame everything on the little guy?" These old stories can touch children in many ways.
This story is told in a traditional Toy Theater which looks just like a miniature proscenium stage with pop up Scenery.
